Terms of service

Effective and last updated October 13, 2026

1. Agreement and acceptance

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of myremoteva.com (the “Website”) and the virtual assistant, administrative, bookkeeping, customer-support, social-media, website-support, research and related services (the “Services”) supplied by MyRemoteVA, doing business as My Remote VA (“My Remote VA”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

The person or organisation that registers for, buys or uses the Services is the “Client”, “you” or “your”. These Terms take effect when you click an acceptance control, register, make a payment, sign an order, or use the Services after being given reasonable notice of these Terms.

These Terms also cover your use of the client portal at app.myremoteva.com. If a signed service agreement or statement of work conflicts with these Terms, that document controls only for the matter it expressly covers. Mandatory applicable law always takes precedence.

If you accept on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Website or the Services.

2. Services and scope

My Remote VA provides remote human assistance and related business support. This can include inbox and calendar support, data entry, document formatting, research, bookkeeping tasks, customer-support assistance, social-media support, website updates, content preparation and other tasks agreed in writing. Our assistants are people who use AI tools to work faster, and a team lead reviews the work.

The deliverables, hours, working windows, turnaround estimates, tools, price and exclusions are set out on the pricing page, in your order confirmation or in a statement of work. We may decline work that is unlawful, unsafe, outside our skills, against a platform’s rules or not included in your plan.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, the Services are task support. They are not legal, tax, accounting, audit, investment, medical, insurance-licensed, cybersecurity, HR, regulatory or other licensed professional advice. For example, bookkeeping support means entering, categorising and reconciling records you own. You and your accountant remain responsible for returns, filings and financial decisions. We do not act as your employee, fiduciary, attorney, accountant or decision-maker.

We may use authorised employees, contractors or service providers to deliver the Services. We remain responsible for managing the service relationship as the law requires.

3. Plans, hours and service limits

Paid plans. Paid plans are limited to the hours, task categories, service windows and other limits shown when you buy. Hours are capacity for assistance, not a guarantee that every task will be finished within a month. Time may include reasonable task review, communication, meetings, research and doing the work. Unused hours roll over as shown on the pricing page, as long as your account stays active.

Pay-as-you-go hours. Hours bought pay-as-you-go do not expire, and there is no monthly commitment. Hourly blocks and quarterly packs run as described when you buy them.

$1 a month plan. New registrations can start on our $1 a month plan, shown on the Website as Forever Free. It adds 1 hour of assistance to your account each month, and unused hours roll over as long as your account stays active. It is for new registrations only, and it is subject to availability, fair use, reasonable scheduling and the other limits in these Terms. We may check your identity or account where appropriate. We may pause, restrict or end this plan going forward with reasonable notice where practicable, or straight away where needed to deal with abuse, security, legal compliance or operational risk. A change will not remove any right that the law does not let you waive.

Extra work. Work outside your plan needs your approval of any extra fee or a plan change before we start. We will not knowingly spend money with third parties on your behalf without your approval, unless an agreed workflow expressly allows it.

No guaranteed outcomes. We will perform agreed work with reasonable care and skill. We do not guarantee sales, rankings, revenue, lead volume, engagement, website traffic, platform approval, business growth, uninterrupted availability or any particular result, because outcomes depend on things outside our control.

Availability. Services are delivered remotely and depend on staff availability, holidays, time zones, task dependencies and reasonable scheduling. Any turnaround time is an estimate unless we identify it in writing as a binding deadline.

4. Client responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Give accurate instructions, priorities, approvals, source materials, access and information reasonably needed to do the work.
  • Make sure you have the lawful rights, consents, licences and authority to give us materials and personal data and to instruct us to process them.
  • Review drafts, transactions, communications, posts, website changes and other outputs before they are published, sent, deployed or relied on, where review is reasonably appropriate.
  • Use role-based accounts and least-privilege access where available, turn on multi-factor authentication, avoid sharing passwords in plain text, and remove access you no longer need.
  • Make timely decisions and approvals. We are not responsible for delay caused by missing information, late approvals, inaccurate instructions or third-party dependencies.
  • Keep your own backups, records, licences, insurance, business continuity arrangements and compliance processes suited to your business.
  • Follow applicable laws, platform terms, advertising rules, intellectual-property rights, privacy rules and anti-spam rules.

You remain responsible for final business decisions and for checking any output that affects customers, finances, employment, legal rights, regulated activity or public communications.

5. Accounts, access and security

You authorise us to use the accounts, systems, websites, inboxes, calendars, social-media accounts and other resources that you specifically make available, only to perform the agreed Services and follow your documented instructions.

You must not ask us to bypass security controls, impersonate someone unlawfully, access systems without permission, scrape or collect data unlawfully, send deceptive communications, manipulate reviews or break platform rules. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or compromised credentials.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards suited to the Services. No system for transmitting or storing information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Unless a signed statement of work says so, we do not provide managed cybersecurity, penetration testing, disaster recovery, guaranteed uptime or forensic incident response.

6. Fees, payment and taxes

Fees are those shown on the pricing page or confirmed in your order, in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Paid plans are payable in advance, and work may begin once payment and onboarding steps are complete.

Subscriptions are paid through the payment provider shown at checkout, currently PayPal. You authorise that provider to charge the amounts shown at checkout. Recurring plans renew each billing period at the price shown at purchase until you cancel. We do not rely on any hidden or undisclosed recurring charge. All payments are non-refundable, as section 7 explains.

If a payment fails or is overdue, we may give notice and pause or limit the Services until the account is up to date, subject to applicable law. You remain responsible for fees for Services properly supplied before suspension or termination.

Fees exclude applicable taxes unless the price says otherwise. Taxes are charged or reported as the law requires, and each party is responsible for its own taxes, except taxes that the law requires the other party to collect, withhold or pay. Third-party costs, such as software subscriptions, advertising spend, stock assets, hosting, domains, paid data and transaction fees, are not included unless we say so. We will get your approval before spending a material amount with third parties on your behalf.

7. Cancellation, suspension and no refunds

You can cancel a recurring plan at any time, either in your PayPal subscription settings or by emailing info@myremoteva.com. Cancellation stops future charges, and your plan runs to the end of the billing period you have already paid for. To avoid the next charge, cancel before the renewal date shown in your portal or PayPal account, and keep the confirmation.

No refunds. All payments are final and non-refundable. This covers subscription fees, hourly blocks, quarterly packs, pay-as-you-go hours and the $1 a month plan fee, whether or not the hours have been used. Cancelling stops future charges only, and it does not entitle you to a refund for a billing period that has started, for hours bought, or for time or work already supplied. Hours bought pay-as-you-go do not expire, so they stay in your account. The only exception is where the law gives you a right to a refund that cannot be waived. Nothing in these Terms removes a right or remedy that the law does not let us exclude.

We may suspend or end the Services for non-payment, unlawful or abusive instructions, material breach, security risk, harassment, misuse of our staff, or a reasonable belief that continuing would break the law or third-party rights. Where practicable, we will give notice and a chance to fix a breach that can be fixed.

When the Services end, you must pay undisputed fees for Services already supplied and approved costs already incurred. We will give you, or make available to you, completed deliverables that you have paid for, subject to any lawful right to hold them until payment. The return or deletion of personal data and confidential information is handled as set out in section 10.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use the Website or the Services to:

  • Commit fraud, harassment, discrimination, unlawful surveillance, phishing, impersonation or other unlawful conduct.
  • Break privacy, data-protection, confidentiality, publicity, copyright, trademark or other third-party rights.
  • Send unlawful spam, deceptive marketing, unlawful robocalls or messages, or communications without the permission the law requires.
  • Publish fake reviews, fabricated testimonials, misleading claims, undisclosed endorsements or deceptive advertising.
  • Upload malware, try to gain unauthorised access, interfere with systems, or ask us to avoid security or platform enforcement.
  • Give us sensitive or regulated data, such as health, payment-card or government identity records, without our prior written agreement and suitable safeguards.
  • Do anything the law or a platform’s rules forbid.

We may refuse, stop or report activity where reasonably necessary to follow the law, protect people or systems, or enforce these Terms.

9. Confidentiality

Each party may receive non-public business, technical, financial, customer or operational information from the other (“Confidential Information”). The receiving party will use it only for the purpose of our relationship, protect it with reasonable care, and share it only with people and service providers who need to know it and are bound by suitable confidentiality duties.

Confidential Information does not include information that the receiving party can show was public without any breach, already lawfully known to it, independently developed without using the Confidential Information, or lawfully received from a third party with no duty of confidentiality.

A party may share information when the law or valid legal process requires it. Where the law allows, it will give advance notice and reasonably help to limit disclosure. These duties continue for 3 years after the Services end, and trade secrets stay protected for as long as the law treats them as trade secrets.

10. Personal data and privacy

Each party must follow the data-protection and privacy laws that apply to its role, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 where it applies. How we collect and use personal data about visitors, account holders and contacts is described in our Privacy Policy.

Where we process personal data on your behalf, you remain responsible for having a lawful basis, the notices and consents that are required, and lawful instructions. We process such data only for the agreed Services and your documented instructions. If you need a data-processing addendum for your own compliance, email info@myremoteva.com and we will agree one with you.

We will cooperate reasonably on data-subject requests, security incidents and regulator enquiries, taking account of each party’s role. Do not send us data that is not needed for the task. When the Services end, we will return or delete your personal data and Confidential Information on request, except where the law requires us to keep it or it sits in routine secure backups.

Because our team works from India, personal data you send us is accessed from India. By sending it you confirm that you are entitled to allow this under the laws that apply to you.

11. Intellectual property and deliverables

You keep ownership of the materials, content, data, brand assets and credentials that you give us (“Client Materials”). You give us a limited, non-exclusive right to use Client Materials only as needed to perform the Services.

Once you have paid in full for the relevant work, we assign to you any transferable intellectual-property rights that we own in bespoke deliverables made specifically for you, excluding Background Materials and third-party materials. We will sign any further document reasonably needed to give effect to that assignment.

“Background Materials” are our existing or independently developed templates, methods, processes, know-how, software, workflows, generic prompts, tools and reusable components. We keep ownership of them. Where Background Materials are built into a paid deliverable, we give you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use them as part of that deliverable in your business, but not to take them out or resell them on their own.

Third-party materials, stock assets, software, fonts, plugins, AI tools and platform content stay under their own licence terms, and we cannot transfer rights that we do not own. We may use properly licensed tools, including AI-enabled tools, to help with the work, subject to our confidentiality and data-protection duties. Do not ask us to put confidential or personal data into a third-party tool unless that use is authorised and suitably protected. You are responsible for making sure Client Materials and instructions are lawful and properly licensed, and we may decline to use material where the rights are unclear.

12. Social media, websites, third-party platforms and AI-assisted work

Social networks, hosting providers, website platforms, email providers, payment processors, search engines and other third parties are outside our control. They may change their rules, algorithms, features, prices, access rights or availability, or suspend accounts. We do not guarantee approval, continued access, rankings, reach, engagement, deliverability or lasting compatibility.

Website changes can cause outages, conflicts, data loss or display problems. Unless your order says otherwise, you are responsible for production backups, hosting, domain registration, licences, security maintenance and recovery. We use reasonable care within the agreed scope, but you should keep a restorable backup before any material change to a live site.

Work made with AI-assisted tools may contain errors, gaps, out-of-date statements or material similar to third-party content. Human review does not guarantee that every issue is caught. You are responsible for reviewing and approving public-facing or important outputs before you use them, and for checking research, drafts and summaries independently where the consequences are material.

13. Warranties and disclaimers

We will perform the Services with reasonable care and skill and substantially in line with the agreed scope. Except for express promises in a signed order and warranties that the law does not let us exclude, the Website and the Services are provided without any guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, suitable for every purpose or achieve a particular commercial result.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a statutory warranty, consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited. If a term cannot be enforced in a particular situation, it applies only as far as the law allows.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive or consequential loss, or for loss of expected profit, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill or data, arising from the Services.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of or relating to a paid service in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim is limited to the fees you paid or owed to us for the specific Services that gave rise to the claim in that period. If you paid nothing, or only the $1 a month plan fee, our total liability is limited to US$100.

These limits do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, such as liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where applicable, or other claims that the law does not let a party waive. These limits allocate commercial risk between us. They are not meant to remove any mandatory legal right.

15. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless My Remote VA and its personnel against third-party claims, losses and reasonable legal costs to the extent that they arise from your unlawful instructions, Client Materials that infringe third-party rights, your breach of law, or your misuse of the Services. We will give you reasonably prompt notice of a claim, let you control the defence within reason, and cooperate reasonably at your expense.

You may not settle a claim in a way that makes an admission, requires a payment or creates a continuing duty for My Remote VA without our written consent. This indemnity does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by our own breach, negligence, wilful misconduct or unlawful conduct.

16. Independent contractor and staff

My Remote VA acts as an independent service provider. These Terms do not create a partnership, joint venture, employment relationship, franchise or general agency. You have no authority to bind us, and we have no authority to bind you except for actions you expressly authorise as part of the Services. You remain responsible for your own business decisions, customers, employees, regulatory duties and professional advisers.

While we supply the Services to you, and for 6 months afterwards, you agree not to ask our personnel who worked on your account to leave us and work for you directly without our written consent. If you would like to hire one of them, contact us and we will agree a fair transition arrangement. This clause does not stop any person from working where the law allows.

17. Term, termination and transition

These Terms apply while you use the Website or the Services. Either party may end an ongoing arrangement under the plan or order terms. Either party may end it for a material breach that is not fixed within 15 days of written notice, unless the breach cannot be fixed or immediate termination is reasonably needed for legal, security or safety reasons.

When the Services end, access to systems should be removed promptly and securely, and each party will return or delete the other’s Confidential Information and personal data as section 10 describes. Sections that by their nature should continue, including fees owed, confidentiality, intellectual property, liability, indemnity, dispute resolution and the general terms, survive to the extent needed.

18. Complaints and disputes

Please first email info@myremoteva.com with your name, account or order reference, a description of the issue and what you would like us to do. We will acknowledge and look into complaints promptly.

Before starting formal proceedings, the parties will try in good faith to settle the dispute by direct discussion for at least 30 days, unless urgent relief is reasonably needed or the law requires a shorter period.

Subject to mandatory law and the rights of consumers and other protected parties, these Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Kozhikode, Kerala, India have jurisdiction, to the extent that choice is valid and enforceable. Nothing here removes a right that you cannot lawfully waive to bring a claim before a competent consumer forum, regulator or court.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Services, our business, the law or security. We will post the updated version with a new “last updated” date, and we will give advance notice of material changes where the law requires it or where it is reasonably practicable. Changes do not retroactively change rights that have already accrued unless both parties agree or the law allows it. Where the law requires your consent, we will ask for it.

If you do not accept a material change, you may stop using the Services and cancel a recurring plan under section 7. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance only where the law allows it and you have had adequate notice.

20. Website use and third-party links

Website content is general information about My Remote VA. We may update, remove or change it, and we do not promise that every page is always current. Prices and plan details shown at checkout or in your order apply to your purchase. We do not control or endorse third-party content that we link to.

You may not copy, scrape, republish, reverse engineer or exploit Website content except as the law allows or with our written permission. You may not interfere with the security, availability or proper working of the Website.

21. General terms

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, any order or statement of work, the Privacy Policy and any data-processing addendum form the agreement for the relevant Services.
  • Severability. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it is changed to the smallest extent needed where the law allows, and the rest continues.
  • No waiver. Not enforcing a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment. You may not assign your agreement without our written consent, except where the law says otherwise. We may assign it as part of a merger, restructuring or transfer of substantially all of the relevant business, subject to applicable law.
  • Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as major outages, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action or widespread telecommunications failure. This does not excuse payments already due.
  • No third-party rights. Except where stated or required by law, these Terms give no enforceable rights to anyone else.
  • Electronic records. To the extent the law allows, electronic acceptance, records and communications may be used as evidence of the agreement.
  • Language. These Terms are in English, and the English version controls.

22. Notices and contact

Send notices and questions about these Terms to the details below, or to updated details that a party has given. Email notices are treated as received when the recipient acknowledges them or when delivery is otherwise reasonably shown, unless the law requires another method.
